I recently uploaded a couple of slide shows to Vimeo which showcase some of my artistic nude work. The first one I produced prior to heading up to Mission Beach for Zoefest last October so I could show my fellow photographers and the models who were attending what my work was like.
On the 26th to the 28th of Feb, the Qld division of the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography) had their big annual event called Hair of the Dog - http://www.hotd.qaipp.com.au/ This year, I was invited to speak about my Artistic Nude work and do a live studio shoot.
It's been way too long since my last blog update. Work and the humdrum of every day life sometimes gets in the way of creativity but sometimes all it takes is a little something new or different to spark some enthusiasm and get that inspiration flowing. http://hipstamaticapp.com/ has got me snapping pics left right and centre on my trusty iPhone 3G and I'm having so much fun with it

Orpheus Island offers some beautiful landscape opportunities which I took advantage of on our first afternoon. The only difficulty was getting out of the mindset of wanting a nude model draped over the rocks or amongst the coral covered beach.
3.15 am Sunday morning I was up and preparing for the journey over to Orpheus Island. As part of the advance, set up group, we had to drive from Townsville to Lucinda to load the barge with all the food, Epson printers, Eizo monitors and of course, alcohol!

Still trying to get through the massive come down after the huge high that was Mission Beach, I took some time out on Magnetic Island for 24 hours of calm and relaxation. A dawn photo shoot on a totally secluded little bay was in order but I did find it quite difficult though, as every landscape I looked at through my viewfinder seemed to be begging for a naked female form to complement the composition.

Well it's all over bar the rest of the image editing and for the last week since it finished I've been rather depressed. That was the most amazing week of my life and I can't wait for the next Zoe Fest event. I have met and worked with some truly wonderful and inspirational people who I am now very proud to call my friends. Certain people had an impact on my life far greater than expected and I now can't quite imagine not having them in my life one way or another.
Apparently someone tipped off the local media that we were in the area and what we were up to so during the week, we were interviewed by the Cairns Post. The article wasn't that fantastic and Candace was quite horrified about being quoted about the "bitey things" but I guess they never meant it to be a very serious article.

Here's a collection of images from either small, impromptu shoots or just behind the scenes shots from other shoots that don't really fit in with any of the other posts.
On our last evening, Michael Lees and I shot some images of Stephanie Anne, Candace and Claudine doing some kind of tribal dance around some fire.
I mentioned in my earlier post of Joceline's shoot that there was a second half to our shoot and that I would post some images at a later date. Well that date has arrived as currently have the time to do it.
While not strictly artistic nude images, Joceline and I were keen on shooting some fashion / glamour style images to give us a bit of variety.
